El Departamento Unveils PJ. Lobster Boutique in Zaragoza
El Departamento architecture and interior design studio has unveiled a new space for PJ. Lobster, the digital vision brand, in Zaragoza, Spain. This store marks PJ. Lobster’s expansion in Spain’s offline market, complementing its presence in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia. Located at 5 Isaac Peral Street in Zaragoza’s central district, the 40 sqm boutique harmoniously integrates design with visual health.
Under the creative direction of Alberto Eltini and Marina Martín, El Departamento has crafted a minimalist, monochromatic interior dominated by terracotta tones contrasted with stainless steel accents. The space features custom-made elements meticulously designed, from mirrors to the central counter. Geometry plays a crucial role, creating a symmetrical layout that unfolds into a semicircle, with display furniture and optical measurement instruments strategically positioned along the central axis.

High-Tech Design Meets Functionality in PJ. Lobster Boutique
Stainless steel, a consistent motif across all PJ. Lobster boutiques, connects the exterior facade with interior furnishings, underscoring the brand’s high-tech ethos. Attention to detail is evident in the spatial zoning and shopping experience, with a prominent minimalist counter facilitating seamless transactions and large mirrors enhancing the sense of space and comfort for product trials. A dedicated rest area with inviting seating and refreshments further enriches the customer experience.
The meticulous approach followed by Valencia-based El Departamento ensures every aspect of the boutique, from eyewear displays illuminated by LED strips to ambient lighting, aligns with PJ. Lobster‘s commitment to quality and accessibility. This collaboration in Zaragoza continues to propel PJ. Lobster’s offline expansion, blending design innovation with functional excellence to redefine traditional optical retail.
